Justin's Jaunt for Power2Inspire
I have been inspired by Power2inspire, a Cambridge based charity dedicated to making sport truly inclusive. John Willis, founder and CEO, born without fully formed arms or legs, was sidelined from sport when young. He is determined to make sport accessible to all.
Power2Inspire run Power House Games in schools and the community - inclusive sports sessions that engage all participants - regardless of ability, age, gender, race or faith.
Your fabulous support will enable Power2inspire to run more games mixing mainstream with special needs students to enable everyone to experience the joy of playing sport together.
Power2inspire holds Festivals of Inclusive Sport - so far hockey, golf, tennis, cycling and badminton. Your support will enable people of all abilities to engage with these sports in greater depth and maybe throw up a Paralympian of the future.
And finally, I am able to run half marathons, and feel lucky to do so. Power2inspire's Super Sensory 1K events allow everyone to run, walk, wheel, push or be pushed around a kilometre route with stations along the way to tickle the senses.
By DONATING you will make this a reality for those less for fortunate.
2x Half Marathons
1st half marathon - St Neots - 18th November
2nd half marathon - Cambridge - 16th December
The second one will be with Don Hutchinson along the Guided Busway starting and finishing at the Future Business Centre in Kings Hedges Road.
Please donate and support Power2Inspire.
