On 25th April 2015 a team of medics from London's Air Ambulance attended to José when he had a cycling accident. Their expertise stabalised José and got him safely to The Royal London's trauma team. This could have been the end of the journey.
Instead it was the start of the journey. Frank and Tim from the Air Ambulance visited José in intensive care to answer any questions he had. Frank visited José again when he was transferred to Stanmore, and introduced us to another local couple whose lives had been changed similarly, a couple who have become firm friends.
José was delighted to welcome Frank to our home, to show Frank how well he was living back at home.
We owe the last year with José to the team at London's Air Ambulance. This is our chance to say Thank You.
We ask that anyone wishing to send flowers to José Barretta's funeral instead makes a donation to London's Air Ambulance where your money will have greater impact.
Envelopes will be available on 23rd May for cash and cheque donations.
