I have had cyclical vommiting syndrome for four years now. It's a neurological issue that is linked to migraines. It affects every 1 in 100,000 Children and is less common in adults. This rare condition has no cure and no set medication. With this being so rare the hospitals can only really manage the symptoms of patients having an episode. This condition requires numerous hospital admissions where iv treatment is needed. Children across the U.S. and also adults have died from this condition. 2 years ago I battled with only being 6 and a half stone. I was very I'll and every time I ate I would be sick for days. I can not imagine how scary these episodes must be for a child because as a 31 year old adult they are scary for me. I would like to start fundraising for CVSAUK because they are the leading charity that helps promote reaserch and they offer much needed help and support to families and sufferer of this condition.

Event details

Myself, my partner Matty and my very good friends Jacob, Holly and Jamie  will be walking from Edinburgh City Centre to Glasgow city centremy 12 and 9 year old kids will also be joining in for some of the walk. This is a whopping 42.5 miles and according to Google maps is a 14 hour walk!! It would be worth every step of I could donate to this charity and hopefully get something moving for reaserch and a cure.

I also hope to follow this event up with other events to raise awareness of this condition.
