Raising money for
The Brain Tumour Charity
Donations accepted until 31-03-2017
Please note that this event is now being rescheduled for 2015!
I will be joining 1000 other drummers in this World Record breaking attempt that aims to raise money in support of The Brain Tumour Charity.
drumBEAT 2015 is an event that will see 1001 drummers gather together in a very large space to play together,
in time with each other, for five minutes to beat the Guinness world
record for the ‘largest full drum kit ensemble’. The current record
stands at 798 drummers which was set in 2012.
Dedicated to the memory of Kate Fenney, co-founder
of the Music Shipping Company who recently lost her 17 month battle with
a brain tumour; Eleri McBay, wife of Kip McBay the founder of Guitar
Guitar who died of a brain tumour earlier this year; and Jon Brookes,
drummer with the Charlatans, who died suddenly last year after suffering
a brain tumour, drumBEAT 2015 expects to raise well in excess of
£125,000.00 which will go to the Brain Tumour Charity.
Marshall Amplification, Natal Drums and The Music Shipping Company are aiming to bring together 1001 drummers in a fund-raising bid to beat the current Guinness world record.
