More than 500,000 Rohingya people have crossed over to Bangladesh. They are living in terrible conditions and need life-saving assistance now. Many are without shelter or clean water.
In Solidarity and homage to the Rohingya refugees on 7th October 18 of us (friends & colleagues) will be Kayaking 26 miles from Henley-on-Thames to Windsor to raise emergency relief funds. InshaAllah.

Rowing for Rohingya
"The believers in their mutual love, mercy and sympathy are like one body. When one of the limbs suffers, the whole body responds to it with sleeplessness and fever." (muslim)
“And whoever saves one life, it is as if they had saved mankind entirely.”
[Surah Al-Ma’idah 5:32]
The Rohingya people are in the grip of the worst humanitarian crisis of our time. Escalating violence from Troops and Burmese Mobs has already caused the death of over 1000 people, and over 500,000 have been forced to flee their homes.
Treated worse than animals, this dehumanisation of the Rohingya people has become ethnic cleansing in Myanmar. Human rights violations and destruction are rife, with women raped, children abused and villages burned to the ground.
There is a mass exodus from the country as people flee for their lives, facing perilous journeys to do so. Thousands of refugees have been forced to risk everything to escape this brutal persecution by fleeing to Bangladesh, only to be handed back to their persecutors.
Far from home and afraid for their lives, most are now dependent on aid for all their basic needs – food, water, shelter and medical care.
