Jan's Updated Challenge
Pleased that despite injury and setbacks I am able to combine a distance walk with raising funds for a great Charity, which has always been my focus

Thank you for visiting my page . You may know that I have been training for a 100K walk this year. It has recently been fraught with injury starting with a broken ankle 6 weeks ago . Initially healing was going well but I suffered another setback 2 weeks ago on some uneven ground. As my ankle has not completely healed I have been advised that the terrain ( Wye Valley) and distance ( 100K) are going to be too much !
So.…… I have decided to scale back the challenge and would like to do the Thames Bridges 25K on September 8th .
Thank you for all the donations so far , every penny will go towards helping families in need.
Family First has seen many families lives transformed through the work of our Family Coordinators and Volunteers. A weekly visit from the volunteer gives the family a listening ear, encouragement ,a sense of value and the belief that life can be different !
Family First provides all its services free. It does not receive any finance from statutory bodies and is currently supported through grant funding. It also aims to raise funds through local events and sponsored challenges .
THames Bridges Challenge
This challenge gives me more training time, however, I will be doing this on my own . I will miss my lovely training buddy, Hannah, but so thrilled that she will be able to complete the 100K challenge as planned .
If anyone would like to come to London on 8th Sept to support me , or walk with me , that would be awesome . Just let me know ! I really value your continued support as I take on this more achievable challenge in September .Thank you
