As someone who lives to challenge themselves both physically and mentally, I know that when I have a goal in mind that I push very hard to achieve it even if when it means starting from scratch.
It is very important to me that alongside the personal fulfilment of these challenges, I am also using it as a great way to raise money and awareness for two worthy causes.
The Jonny Wilkinson Foundation gives life changing support to the members of our community who need it most. Every year, many of us will be affected by mental health issues either directly or through someone we know.
Like many others I have been touched by mental illness in my own life, sadly losing my father when I was 13 years old. This has made me very passionate about raising awareness and understanding around mental health concerns for those suffering now.
The Scouts change the lives of young people and help them reach their full potential by offering them challenging activities, unique experiences, everyday adventure & a chance to help others to make a positive impact on communities.

Event details

Running a marathon on each of the 7 continents

To run a 7 marathons around the world, in one year.

Europe - London Marathon 23.04.17
Asia - Everest Marathon 29.05.17
S.America -Patagonia Marathon 09.09.17
Australasia - Rottnest Marathon 22.10.17
N.America - Seattle Marathon 26.11.2017
Yukon Arctic Marathon - 01.02.2018
Africa - Kilimanjaro Marathon 04.03.2018

But that's not the only challenge... I would love to say that I am a very experienced runner but that's not the truth. In fact I only recently started running, so as well as the challenge of running the marathons, I have the challenge of training and getting myself prepared physically and mentally for this undertaking.

To demonstrate that no matter your current level of ability, anything is possible.
I believe that with enough determination, self belief and commitment, you can achieve anything. I want to prove to not only myself but others that it doesn’t matter where your starting line is, everyone has it in them to make it to the finish.
