Raising money for
Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY)
This is the 2nd Hux Crux challenge, last year we set out to climb the height of mount Everest in eight hours and thanks to our incredible team of climbers we smashed it and then some.
We are again raising money and awareness for CRY – Cardiac Risk in the Young in memory of our dear friend James Huxley who passed away without warning at the age of only 33 whilst cycling to work in 2015. His sudden death came as a total shock, Hux was an extremely active person who enjoyed martial arts, snowboarding, surfing and had just started climbing. No one would have expected him to be at risk of cardiac issues. We are climbing to not only raise money but also awareness of this danger.
After last year’s success of doubling our climbing target of the height of Everest, this year we are really reaching for the stars. Olympus Mons is the tallest mountain on Mars and our solar system, it's tip is 26k above the surrounding plains. This is a huge target and going stretch our team to new levels
