Hull University Mens Hockey Club taking on the challenge to cycle little under 500 miles in 6 days.
Raising money for Mind Hull and East Yorkshire.
We are doing this for Mind because mental health has no boundaries it can effect any gender, any age, anywhere.
Raising awareness of mental illness is not just about problems such as schizophrenia and depression. We are raising awareness for all who suffer from anxiety, addiction to BPD (borderline personality disorder) and stress + many many more.
A number of members of HUMHC have experienced first hand the effects that someone suffering from mental illness can have. It effects more than just the sufferer and the impact of mental illness is not felt only within the club but also in the wider community.
So we are riding to highlight the work Mind can do to prevent further tragedies and support those who need it.

HUMHC to Lands End
6 Days, 483 Miles.
Kingston-Upon-Hull to Lands End
It's not quite Tour de France distances but neither are we professional cyclists so this is a mammoth challenge that we are going to conquer (said with such vigour and confidence).
All participants are amateur cyclists when it comes to such distances, however as a team we are looking to pull through together and get to Lands End while fundraising on the way. This event is not a race but is a huge challenge which will test us both physically and mentally.
The training has already begun.
And so with that mind we will be there to support each other along the way - It would be great if you could to.
