As most of you know I'm a two bike kind of girl.. but neither of these bikes have done close to 100 miles, which is what I'm attempting at the end of July.
I'm riding in support of Cardboard Citizens, an award-winning theatre company that has been running for 25 years. They work with homeless and vulnerable people to tell stories that need to be told through theatre performed on the stage, in the street, in hostels, day centres and prisons.
They offer a creative community for excluded people to build their skills and confidence through courses, workshops and performance. They help people progress into training, employment and further education.
As an extra challenge I'm racing my brother James who has not two but three bikes. The more money I raise the faster I go. Girl Power.
Prudential RideLondon-Surrey 100 2017
Celebrating the legacy for cycling created by the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games, Prudential RideLondon-Surrey 100 starts in Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, and then follows a 100-mile route on closed roads through the capital and into Surrey’s stunning countryside. With leg-testing climbs and a route made famous by the world’s best cyclists at the London 2012 Olympics, it’s a truly spectacular event for all involved.
Every penny raised will go to support the work of Cardboard Citizens with homeless and vulnerable young people and adults in London and beyond. Your support is needed now more than ever as homelessness and the demand for our services continues to rise.
