Khora is a community centre that has been originally set up by a small group of international volunteers, who met in Lesbos to provide emergency support to the refugee crisis.

Since 2015, Khora has been providing basic needs, such as nutritional food, clothes, education and health care, but also a safe communal space to meet and socialise.

If you'd like to know more about Khora, please have a look at the website.
We believe that their work is truly amazing,we really want to support Khora to continue providing its services.

We're looking forward to join Thighs of Steel in their epic journey from London to Athens, cycling for a week from London to Brussels.

We hope to raise as many pennies as we can.
We pay for the cost of our own journey,so all donations go straight to Khora.

Loads of Love!

Diolch, Grazie, Thanks you!

London to Athens 2018

A group of not-so-serious cyclists have set themselves the serious challenge of cycling between London and Athens. The ride is a relay-style challenge, with each participant taking on a week or two of the overall trip.

We are fundraising for Khora; a grassroots, proactive association running a community centre in Athens. Their centre provides basic and human needs for people without freedom of movement. This includes free nutritious food, clothing, education, access to information and a safe space to build relationships and relax.

Equally important to what they offer, is how they offer it. Khora is run by volunteers from all over the world. Its team includes members of the local Greek community, the refugee community and other international volunteers too. It prioritises dignity and respect in every service it provides.

The £60,000 we are aiming to raise will pay for the rent for their community centre for an entire year. The running costs of a project are typically the hardest to find funding for, so it of particular importance to be able to provide this for Khora, to secure a stable future for the project. All fund-raised money goes to Khora, and none on the ride.
