I am a 33-year-old father of two. Last year we lost my wife's stepfather (pictured, with our daughter) to an aggressive form of bladder cancer. My aim is to raise as much money as possible for Macmillan Cancer Support and the absolutely vital work they do to help those with cancer and their families. The Grimpeur Heureux (meaning 'happy climber') is my blogging alter-ego. Despite writing a blog about cycling, I am a naturally inadequate athlete, so RideLondon will be a real challenge for me. Please give generously to encourage me in my training and through the mental turmoil of the day itself!
A 100-mile cycle ride starting at the 2012 Olympic site, looping out into the Surrey countryside, before finishing on the Mall. 100 miles is a lot longer than I've ever cycled before. And please don't talk to me about the hills...
