About
Wellbeing and safety are two areas every GAT Committee member feels are core to who we are and what we do and are the driving force behind the challenge we're embarking on this summer. None of us have ever done this challenge before and all have very different levels of fitness and walking experience. We hope training for and completing this challenge will enhance our mental and physical wellbeing, as well as putting our team working skills to the test.
Event details
National 3 Peaks Challenge
We have chosen to do the challenge over three days rather than in the traditional 24 hours so that as many of our GAT family can take part in the challenge as possible. Some of us will climb one peak, others all three, but there will be many individual and group challenges accomplished over the course of the three days.
We've decided to fundraise for the AAGBI's SAFE Africa campaign to help sustainably improve the safety of our speciality in Africa. We are self-funding this trip, so you can rest assured that every penny you donate will be spent on making anaesthesia safer. We'll be posting regular updates on our training journey, as well as the challenge itself, so be sure to keep an eye on our progress. These will be on our webpage and also on Twitter @AAGBI_GAT so please follow us! #GreatGATChallenge
Your support and words of encouragement will be gratefully received. Please do tell all your friends about our challenge and also about this amazing charity campaign. If you do feel able to make a donation to our cause, we thank you in advance for your kindness and generosity.
Wish us luck!
