About

We have decided to take this opportunity to raise money for two charities which have particular relevance to the employees and friends of Gray & Adams Dunfermline.

In November 2015 we lost our dear friend and devoted employee Mr Robert Wilson to Diabetes.

More recently we lost our dear friend and devoted employee  Mr John Pirie to Cancer.

They both are dearly missed and our condolences go out to all family and friends of Robert and John.

We will be splitting the funds raised 50/50 between the two charities. Your support is greatly appreciated and any size of donation will be received with gratitude.

Event details

National 3 Peaks Challenge

Departing at 00.30 on Saturday 8 June, after 6 hours of driving, we will reach Snowdon in Wales, with an elevation of 1085m. Snowdon has a few different route options, most of which share the same final steep ascent to the summit. Second in the challenge is Scafell Pike in the Lake District. At 978m this is the lowest summit of the three, however, with it’s relentless and steep ascent it is arguably the hardest of all. It is also considered the hardest to navigate in poor weather conditions. Finally, the highest of the three mountains is Ben Nevis in Scotland with an elevation of 1344m above sea level. Due to its height and location, ‘the Ben’ is rarely without snow on its summit plateau. The challenge is to complete all three in under 24 hours including driving time. We will see how we get on!
