As BRPS Chairman I am determined to do my bit for our Railway, which last year entailed taking part in my first Track Trek. It wasn't so much a baptism of fire, more of a baptism of floods.
This year, whilst hoping for dryer conditions, I am again looking forward to talking to other trekkers and volunteer stewards whilst striding out towards Sheffield Park. If you are unable to take part in the trek yourself, please consider sponsoring me instead as our railway really needs every penny it can raise to replace worn out track between Horsted Keynes and Sheffield Park. Thank you.

Bluebell Railway Track Trek 2017

Many thanks to everyone who took part in the Bluebell Railway's 5th sponsored "Track Trek", an 11 mile walk between East Grinstead and Sheffield Park stations on Saturday 18 November 2017.
The walk took place during the daytime, raising money for the Tr(ack) Action Appeal, that was formally launched in October.  This is an appeal set up to raise £250,000 for the renewal of track along parts of the Railway. The target for the Track Trek is to raise £15,000 which will buy a new 60 foot track panel.
A complimentary bus service operated to take trekkers from Sheffield Park to East Grinstead in the morning and then back to their original starting point at the end of the Track Trek.

Participants registered in advance for the Trek.  Details of this are available at
