Ormiston Academies Trust - #iwill Initiative
I am taking part in the 100 mile Birmingham Velo on the 12th May to raise funds to support the #iwill initiative at Ormiston Academies Trust (OAT).
Raising money for
Ormiston Academies Trust
OAT are one of the largest multi-academy trusts in England and we have a mission to be the Trust that makes the biggest difference in & out of the classroom.
In 2018 OAT secured funding to support #iwill – a campaign aiming to make social action a part of life for young people. Social action includes things like campaigning, fundraising & volunteering; supporting pupils in developing individual skills and confidence and promoting wellbeing awareness.
Using the funding we’ve received so far, pupils in our academies have been running a variety of amazing social action projects in their local communities that they’ve chosen to benefit everyone. The projects include things like building community libraries & gardens, anti-bullying campaigns, mental health awareness, tree planting, supporting LBGTQ+ pride activities & more.
I’m raising money to support the amazing #iwill intiative to continue to inspire pupils within the OAT family of Academies and help them do even more to help their communities, Academies and themselves.
