About

Middlesex EPG
Middlesex Elite Player Group formerly the Middlesex Academy comprises of 20 players between the ages of 14 - 18 who have been selected from the County Age Group Programme. These players have shown the characteristics and skill to be selected onto an elite programme that aims to produce home grown players to represent Middlesex Cricket.

Walking With The Wounded (WWTW)
Our core purpose is to support ‘at risk’ veterans, so they are a valued member of society and sustain their independence post military service providing long-term security for themselves and in many instances their young families.

Litter Force: A Force for Good:
A key obstacle many veterans are confronted with post military service is re-integrating into society and replicating the self-worth experienced whilst serving. Litter Force aims to recruit veterans who wish to reintegrate into society in a way that enables them to utilise core skills developed in the military such as planning, logistics, coordination and communication.

Cleaning Up London

On Sunday 3rd February Middlesex Elite Player Group will be teaming up with Walking With The Wounded and LitterForce. We will be joined by Duncan Slater and will be cleaning up litter around the Finchley area in order to raise funds for our upcoming EPG Cricket Training camp in La Manga.

Following the Litter collection, Duncan will be sharing his experiences as a war veteran and double amputee to race to the South Pole and to compete in the Worlds Toughest Marathon.

There are three main objectives for the day….

  • Firstly, this is the great experience and opportunity we have to interact with a real life hero and to learn from his experiences.
  • Secondly, to impact on the local community by clearing up litter
  • Lastly, we are looking to raise £2,000 towards the trip to LaManga, and this will be done through people sponsoring our EPG players for collecting litter around Finchley.
