Way of the Roses Fundaising Cycle
A team of 3 engineers (Doug, Lucy and Janis) based out of Manchester and Liverpool who have been involved with Engineers for Overseas Development North West's (EFOD NW) latest project. We are amateur cyclists putting ourselves up against it to complete the challenge over a weekend!
Working with Zukuka Bora Coffee Company and JENGA charity, a group of young professionals from engineering and construction consultancies have been designing a new drying shelter and storage facility for Zukuka Bora in Mbale, Uganda. Funds raised will go towards construction (labour, plant, materials) and site roles for the engineers involved in the design to deliver this project.
The project aims to support the good work of Zukuka Bora helping them to improve coffee production, provide local training and employment opportunities and more sustainably manage the resources of Mt. Elgon.

Way of the Roses 170 mile cycle
Our mammoth challenge involves a 170 mile bike ride from Morecambe to Bridlington along the Way of the Roses. We will be attempting the task over 2 days stopping in Ripon over night. The route takes us over the Pennines for the first day before running through Yorkshire to the eastern coast where we will hopefully be able to collapse and have a celebratory pint.
