East London Ladies FC Club Run
East London Ladies FC is a grassroots women's football club which currently engages over 75 girls and women in football each week. We have a senior women's team who play in the Greater London Women's Football League. We also have a junior section 'The East London Little Ladies' where we have three teams - under 7's, under 9's and under 12's, with the prospects of expanding even further to develop an under 14's and under 16's team in the very near future.
East London Ladies FC are pleased to have over 45 members of the club running the Little Half Run, with a mixture of senior players, junior players and parents all coming together as a team to complete the 2.4 mile course!
We also have 6 adults taking up the challenge of the Big Half Run, taking on the 13.1 miles to help raise money for the club
The money raised will help us to buy more equipment and kit to develop and expand the club. It will also enable us to reach out further into the community and engage even more girls and women to play football and lead a healthy active lifestyle, all while having fun!
Thank you, see you at the finish line!
The BIG Half
The first ever London Marathon half marathon aims to be a global and uniquely local celebration of the wonderful culture, diversity and community London has to offer.
The half marathon taking place on the 4th March 2018 will be a fantastic opportunity to bring the community together which will conclude in a unique festival at the end of the 13.1miles in Greenwich park. The festival will look to showcase exactly what the community has to offer with four different zones looking at: Food and health, health and wellbeing, sport activation and finally music and culture.
We have 10 places in the London half Marathon as well as hundreds participating in the relay and the little half.
