Hi, my name is Daisy Hogger. My mother was diagnosed with primary breast cancer in 2013, when I was just 10 years old. My mum went through many rounds of chemotherapy and then eventually had surgery that took away the lump in her Breast. She then carried on with radiotherapy before getting the all clear. This then allowed our family to go back to having a normal life. However, when I started my first year of secondary school my mum was complaining of many back pains, she was referred to get a scan, this was when we were given the devastating news that my mum had secondary or metastatic breast cancer in her bones.
After being told her life was getting shorter, my mum was determined to make as many memories as she could not only with me but everyone around her. She was referred onto a drug trial, travelling to Harley street for around 18 months. At a regular scan she was told the cancer was not only in her bones but in her liver too. My mum still carried out her strong fight right to the end.
My mum was very passionate for people to be made aware what secondary breast cancer meant and wanted more research to be made. For this reason I am creating this donation page in her memory x
