About

Thanks for taking the time to visit our MyDonate page.

We are really fortunate

Whether like me, you are coming into your '3rd Age' or like my children, from teenagers to somewhere approaching the middle, we can climb mountains - just need to get fit enough!

Not everyone has that same opportunity and some of our young friends have an even greater personal challenge than most of us could ever imagine.

The Bumblee Children’s Charity is a centre for children up to the age of 5 who have cerebral palsy, epilepsy and many other undiagnosed conditions that are most likely to be genetic. The school uses conductive education as a technique to encourage the use of limbs, body and brain. They are a small centre that relies entirely on charitable donations.

It is such an important and inspirational place that it is imperative for it to continue to support children and their families as well as providing a community for families to network and provide mutual support.

The South Wales 3 Peaks Trial - Gold Route

By way of an update, I am delighted to tell you that my twins and I each achieved a Gold Certificate on Saturday in the South Wales 3 Peak Trial.

We climbed and walked 59,000 steps and 3 mountains in 11 hours and have the Gold Certificates to show for it – a real test of physical strength and mental endurance – the last 2.5 miles at dusk was by far the longest walk of our lives

Importantly, we have raised over £1,700 so far for the Bumblebee Children's Charity who work with children who have cerebral palsy, epilepsy and many other undiagnosed conditions that are most likely to be genetic.  A stark contrast as these children are unlikely ever to be as fortunate to experience such magnificent views.

There is still time to donate if you haven’t managed yet, but once again my sincere thanks for helping us do something to help the children and families of the Bumblebee Children’s Charity.  I am sure you will all agree it was a worthwhile effort.

David
