About
After stating I would never again put my body through the trauma of a Marathon, 3 years later I am doing it again!
The only motivation necessary was knowing the difference that can be made through all the generous donations to this page, to the charity Friends of Mulanje Orphans. FOMO is based in Malawi, one the poorest and most impoverished countries in the world, the charity currently cares for over 3,500 orphaned children in providing meals, healthcare, education and clean water, along with assisting the local community through various projects. FOMO started in 2000, and has grown vastly since its creation.
In 2006 my family and I were fortunate enough to travel out to Malawi to see first hand what a difference the charity can make, with 12 centres spread across Mulanje (a region of Malawi similar in size to Lancashire), we also realised the scale of the task and the need for continued support. Many friends were made during our stay in Malawi, and we as a family promised to continue our support for FOMO in whatever way we could.
Please donate all you can to help this worthwhile cause, further information can be found about FOMO at http://www.fomo.co.uk/
