Running as fast as I can...The Great Scottish Run
I am delighted to be participating in the Bank of Scotland Great Scottish Run 2017.
The charity I have the pleasure to run for is The Global Concerns Trust. The Global Concerns Trust was established in December 1996 in Scotland by Alastair Christie. GCT evolved from a concept developed from 1987-1996 by Alastair in Singapore. They are an international development charity which supports grassroots development and environmental projects in Africa and Asia.
Over the years, GCT has worked linking schools, organisations and individuals in a supportive and learning relationship, pioneering grassroots projects in rural and urban environments.

Great Scottish Run - Half Marathon
Starting in George Square the Great Scottish Run course features famous venues from the 2014 Commonwealth Games as well as taking me across the River Clyde, through Pollok Park and Bellahouston Park, before heading back for the grandstand finish on Glasgow Green.
The decision to take on 13.1 miles has not been taken lightly; it will require a good level of fitness and a dedication to training. The rewards for all the hard work in the build-up however, are all worth it! With every penny raised going towards a great cause!
