Darron Januszkiewicz Memorial Fund
We want to raise funds for the Royal Hallamshire Hospital in Sheffield, in particular the Neurological Unit
Donations accepted until Closed
Darron Januszkiewicz was a much loved father, son, brother, uncle, grandson, nephew and cousin - and a friend to many. Over the second Bank Holiday weekend in May 2016, Darron was out with friends and members of his family. On his way home, he was attacked and tragically died from his injuries one week later. The staff at the Neurological Unit in the Royal Hallamshire hospital did everything they could to save him and offered brilliant support to his family and friends during the vigil that followed and beyond. As a family, we want to give something back and raise funds to express our gratitude in his name so that it and his memory lives on. Any donations from anyone who can't make the events we're planning, (any donations from anyone who is attending too!) will be gratefully received directly by the charity if you submit it via this page. Please, if you've paid enough tax this year, Gift Aid it. The more we raise for these wonderful people the better. Thanks for taking the time to read this, and (hopefully!) thanks for your donation too :)
Saturday May 20th - A football tournament. 6 a side teams will compete for the Darron Januszkiewicz Memorial Trophy. Stalls will be set up and raffles organised. All funds will go to the charity. Their staff will be in attendance on the day. The raffle will be drawn afterwards at the Royal Hotel in Norton.
Saturday July 29th - At Askern Welfare, there'll be a band with tickets sold in advance and a second raffle will take place in the weeks leading up to the event with prizes drawn on the night. All donations will go to the charity and staff will be in attendance.
On June 3rd (Darron's birthday), members of Darron's family will do a sponsored walk of 6 miles.
Finally his Uncle, cousins and friends will do a sponsored bike ride from his home village to Anfield, home of Liverpool FC and Darron's favourite team. This will take place on or around the second anniversary of Darron's death.
More information can be found by e-mailing his brother, Michael, at email@example.com if you have any questions or would like to offer help by way of raffle prizes etc.
