Currie & Brown Pledge 150 Fundraising
Currie & Brown CSR Team
Throughout 2018, employees from across Currie & Brown's UK offices are taking part in fundraising activities to help end youth homelessness in the UK. Our target is to raise £15,000 for Land Aid and contribute to the RICS pledge 150 target of £2.25 million this year.
Please show your support through donations, sponsorship and words of encouragement for those undertaking challenges this year.
Yorkshire Pedathlon, Masham - on Friday 11th May, Tim Boyle from our Manchester office cycled 80 miles through the Yorkshire Dales.
Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge - On 8th June, 16 employees challenged themselves to walking 24 miles summiting three peaks along the way – that’s 1585m of ascent – in under 12 hours!
The Worlds Biggest Property Bike Ride - In June, 17 of our London colleagues pedalled their way around the Surrey Hills.
Bake offs - bakers from across our offices have been competing for the title of Master Baker, much to the delight of fellow cake loving employees, all in a bid to raise money for LandAid.
RICS Pledge 150- National
RICS and LandAid aim to raise £2.25 million and deliver 150 bed spaces across the UK by December 2018.
It costs around £15,000 to provide one bed space – we need your support to help us deliver our mission to end youth homelessness. You can be the reason that young people affected by homelessness can get the shelter and support they deserve.
Pledge to end youth homelessness
This year over 80,000 young people in the UK will be homeless. Homelessness doesn’t just mean sleeping on the streets, it’s a much wider issue. It means not having a place to call home, somewhere private, secure, decent and affordable and where you have a right to stay.
Youth homelessness is a problem that can be solved, and RICS, along with our professionals, can play a vital role. With investment in the right support services and secure accommodation, we can protect young people from facing life in an overcrowded hostel, moving from sofa to sofa or even on the streets.
