A Better Clubhouse for Crowthorne Tennis Club
Since 1990, we've had a 200m walk to go to the toilet. A new Clubhouse will end this and encourage more members of all ages to start playing tennis.
Raising money for
Bright Ideas for Tennis
I am Club Treasurer and just one of 10 members on the committee of Crowthorne Tennis Club. All 10 of us spend as much time as we can in between work and family commitments to promote and develop our tennis club.
In 1989 the members moved the Club Hut from the middle of Crowthorne to our present site.
In 2001 the Army helped us install a converted shipping container which is our present clubhouse.
Throughout this time we've had the tennis courts resurfaced and floodlights installed.
With a better clubhouse with toilets we could do so much more in our club. Better facilities would mean more members, more coaching, more teams; in short, more of all ages and abilities playing tennis.
- End that 200m walk to the toilet!
- Encourage more juniors to play more often.
- Entice those occasional adult players to make it twice a week.
- Make it the sort of club younger players want to join.
- Better for women players.
- Better for veterans.
- BETTER FOR EVERYONE!
