24Hr Tennis Marathon
Cranleigh Tennis Club
We are raising money to resurface the tennis courts and add a hitting wall to increase tennis participation at Cranleigh Tennis and Social Club.
Raising money for
Bright Ideas for Tennis
Donations accepted until 30-04-2017
At Cranleigh Tennis Club we have a thriving community tennis programme, coaching children from aged 3 to adults and approx 300 players playing tennis every week. We coach 3 local schools at Cranleigh & provide tennis lessons at South Thames College & the Aurora Centre. We're extremely passionate about increasing tennis participation and promoting healthy lifestyles in the local community.
We would like to raise funds to provide a better playing surface by repairing or replacing the courts with a different surface. The courts at Cranleigh become slippery when wet and the surface is in need of repair. A new surface wouldn't be slippery and will encourage more players to play tennis all year round.
We would also like to add a hitting wall to encourage players to play more often.
8 Cranleigh members are playing tennis 4am-8am as part of the 24hour tennis marathon. In conjunction with the 24hour Tennis Marathon our Head Coach is doing a Skydive on Friday 3rd March. This is not something he is looking forward to as he prefers to have his feet firmly on the ground. Please help us to raise much needed funds so that we can continue to offer tennis to more players in the local community.
The 4th Forte Village 24Hr Tennis Marathon
For the 4th straight year, Bright Ideas for Tennis will be playing tennis for 24 hours continuously. This year the 2 Tennis Pro's playing throughout will be Danny Sapsford and Wimbledon sensation Marcus Willis. Play will take place at the NTC, Roehampton, beginning on Saturday 25th February 2017.
