About

Hello,
My name is Simon Nicholl and I'm a middle-aged, fair weather, hill-avoiding, headwind-hating cyclist. Who likes a beer!
Thank you for visiting this page and especially so if you are able to donate: you'll be helping veterans who gave so much of themselves and need our help in return to rebuild their lives.
I know that we get pestered all the time to give to this-and-that, but this really is a cause worth getting behind and supporting.
All the very best,
Simon.
ps I'm also trying to help the blood cancer folk, Bloodwise at https://mydonate.bt.com/fundraisers/bloodwise Thank you!

Event details

Cycling. It's all that I could think of!

Starting on Sunday 11th September, I'm cycling from Seattle to Miami solo and unsupported: that's 3500 miles going forward and 120,000 feet going up!
Each day will average 135 miles which is wee bit beyond my two-wheeled comfort zone. Just to add insult, I won't be able to shelter behind anyone in the inevitable headwinds and I'll be carrying about 15kgs of kit. And praying for no mechanicals either, hah-hah! So not too much to worry about, right? Right.
If you really have got too much free-time/don't know any better, then please have a gander at my blog by clicking the link at the bottom of this page...yep, the one that says 'YouTube'!
