Raising money for
Princes Gate Trust
Donations accepted until 09-12-2018
Circle IT CEO - Roger Harry, Head of Sales and Marketing - Martyn John and Principal Infrastructure Architect - Gavin Forrest have been training all year in preperation for the IRONMAN Wales Challenge. This has involved some events such as the Wales Triathlon, Velothon Wales and the Long Course Weekend.
Earlier this year Circle IT held a charity ball to raise money for Princes Gate Trust which is now funding a new outdoor gym to benefit 175 special needs pupils at Ty Gwyn School in Ely, Cardiff. We were delighted to raise a total of over £36,000. We are hopeful that we will reach £40,000 with the donations towards our IRONMAN Wales Challenge. All money donated will go directly to Princes Gate Trust which funds projects that touch the lives of the children and young people who need it most.
Circle IT specialises in providing IT support and services to a range of business, from SME’s through to large multi-site organisations.
IRONMAN is the hardest one-day endurance race in the entire world, covering a staggering 140 miles from start to finish. IRONMAN Wales is well known as being one of the toughest courses out there
It begins with a 2.4 mile open ocean swim. With a 1 mile run to transition, we’ll jump onto our bikes and get pedalling on the gruelling 112 mile cycle course, then to finish the day we’ll progress onto 'the run' which is a regulation length marathon of 26.2 miles.
Brutal, tough and exhausting, we have a time limit of only 17 hours to complete all this and our aim is to have time to spare!
IRONMAN Wales begins on Tenby's North Beach, which provides one of the most spectacular swim locations on the race circuit. Despite challenging bike and run courses, athletes are treated to consistent and motivating inspiration from some of the most vocal and enthusiastic spectators in endurance sports.
