Chloe's fundraising for the Joshua Tarrant Trust
Hi, and thank you for taking time to visit my fundraising page for the Joshua Tarrant Trust. This is a registered charity very close to my heart, a lot of you will not be aware but my boyfriend Greg and his family suffered the tragic loss of Greg's brother in 2012.
Joshua was born on the 24th August 1995, a very health baby boy. He was loved by his parents Sean and Denise and his siblings Greg, Ryan and Lee. Joshua was diagnosed with a brain tumour in July 2004, Joshua had a life saving operation to fit a shunt at Addenbrookes Hospital in Cambridge. Sadly, another operation to remove the tumours was too dangerous and therefore not an option. Chemotherapy started but was unsuccessful. Joshua was diagnosed terminally ill. The family had 8 wonderful years with Joshua but he sadly lost his brave fight on April 29th 2012 aged 16 years and 8 months with his parents and brothers by his side at Milton Hospice in Cambridge.
The Joshua Tarrant Trust is dedicated to his memory.
Even though I never had the pleasure of meeting this brave young man, this race is my way of supporting the Charity and Greg's family who have raised over £30k in the last 4 years for local causes.
Thank you X
