Charlotte's Flying Start Abseil Fundraising Page
Hello everyone! Welcome to my Flying Start fundraising page!
My name is Charlotte and I have been part of British Airways London Heathrow based Cabin Crew team since July 2017. I have always been involved in charity work from a young age - from performing for charities to organising fundraising events, it's something I have always enjoyed doing and knowing that it is helping those less fortunate than us is such a rewarding feeling!
It is because of this that I signed up to be a Flying Start Champion at BA as soon as I could! I would love your support to raise as much as I can for the charity.
Flying Start is the global charity partnership between British Airways and Comic Relief. British Airways wants to help give children in the communities which we fly to the chance to have a brighter future. That is why 100% of money raised by Flying Start goes directly to Comic Relief.

Flying Start Abseil for Sport Relief
On Friday April 20th 2018, I will be abseiling down the side of the UK's Tallest Sculpture - The ArcelorMittal Orbit at the Olympic Park in London. This will be a free-falling abseil - I won't touch anything after I step off the platform at the top of the Orbit until I reach the bottom - a scary 262 feet later!
My aim is to raise £100 minimum for Flying Start and I would love your help to do so, any amount of donations will be greatly appreciated! If you want to come and watch my attempt, please message me and I can tell you what time I will be descending!
The Abseil - I will be attached to the safety lines secured above the abseil platform via safety equipment. Once past the abseil platform, I will dangle in the air, suspended by the abseil line, which is backed-up by a safety line. I will then make my way down the 80 metre descent - hopefully taking in the views across London if I dare to keep my eyes open!
Thank you for your support!
