I have chosen to take part in a school project, and came up with the idea of organising a charity event. The idea of a pop up golf course came from Graham Oakley, in Marden, and he has encouraged me to 'go for it' on this venture.

I will set up a 10 hole golf course in the fields of Marden, with the loan of flags from Upavon golf Course (thank you) and we shall have some fun and laughter, as well as try and raise money for a great cause.

I have set this page up as some, who do not play golf, might want to donate to this fabulous charity set up by our family friend Gordon Moore.

Coarse Golf on a Pop-up Golf Course

If you are unable to attend then this page does allow you to help with a donation.

If you can come then the mystery will be slowly unfurled as follows....

The day will start at 1-130pm with a coffee and snack, and then we shall hit a golf ball (or a few if you are my father!), around the fields. The holes will be no more than a par 3 so the big hitters need to only bring pitching wedges!

After some fun hitting the ball around the field, we will then retire to the Millstream pub for a warming meal.

We have chosen February 8th as the date, as I have deadlines on the project to achieve. As it may be mid-winter and weather may get in the way, we have a stand-by date of March 1st. However the whole day will be 2 hours of fun golf ball hitting, with any standard of player welcome, and a warming meal in the lovely village pub in Marden at the end.

Everything should be finished by 7pm, although you are welcome to stay in the pub for longer, if you would like to.
