Caro's thighs-powered Refugee Fundraiser
I am cycling from Corfu to Athens this summer to raise money for Khora- a kick ass refugee centre in Athens. Can you spare some cash to support them?

Even if I don’t know how to fix a puncture (yet) I do love cycling- a lot!
And I really care about people - from anywhere in the world!
Hence, it makes me very sad to see how many of us need to flee our homes to be safe and free. And then we arrive somewhere supposedly safe, and someone just shuts the door in front of our face :-(
So I decided to become a bit more active and join a cycle tour this summer, raising money for an amazing refugee community centre in Athens- one of the main entry points into Europe for refugees from all parts of the world. Khora (http://www.khora-athens.org/) supports them in meeting their basic needs: food, language classes, clothing, medical aid and legal advice.
I’ll be cycling 620km in 6 days, from Corfu to Athens, with a total climb of 8600m.
I am paying all costs from my own pocket, so your donations (and any small amount makes a difference!) will go directly to Khora!
Ok, I'll better learn how to fix a puncture now :-)
Thanks for your support!

We are fundraising for Help Refugees, who fund small grassroots refugee organisations. The specific group we are fundraising for is Khora, a co-operative made up of volunteers from all over the world, including the local Greek community, the refugee community and other international volunteers. Their community centre in Athens provides not only basic needs such as free nutritious food, warm clothing and access to dental care, but also social needs such as education, child care, access to information and a safe space to build relationships and relax.
