Raising money for
Romsey Cancer Support Centre - Jane Scarth House
Donations no longer accepted
We are a team of friends that work for British Gas Smart Metering and Installations.A number of our team have experienced friends & family affected by cancer and as a group we want to make a difference for a local charity. We have chosen Jane Scarth House as it is close to the heart for one of our team members..Rich Bailey. In May 2012 Rich's sister Laura was diagnosed with metastatic Bowell cancer. Diagnosed aged 35 Laura's cancer had already spread to her spine and liver. Laura fought cancer for six years, facing all sorts of treatment but never stopped being positive. Sadly Laura passed away peacefully on July 16th 2018.
Laura was helped massively by Jane Scarth House for a number of years, when times were extra hard Laura and her family could rely on them for all sorts of emotional and relaxation support.
Laura picked this charity above others as the one to raise money for.
The centre is completely self funded & is a locally supported charity run by volunteers. The money we raise can make a big difference to a number of peoples lives just like Laura. We would be very grateful for any donations.
