52-mile ultra-marathon challenge
52 miles non-stop in a single day... We're taking part in Race To The Tower, a 52-mile ultra-marathon along the Cotswold Way .
Donations accepted until 09-09-2018
Julie and myself work together at Camloc Motion Control, we're both extremely competitive and lack the ability to say 'no' to a challenge.
When our colleague, Micheal Cook, suggested we take part in the Race To The Tower we couldn't turn this 'opportunity' down, despite the fact neither of us had taken part in an event anywhere close to this distance before.
We've put ourselves through months of training and would love our efforts to make a difference to others and keep us going through the event.
Together we will be raising money for two charities, LOROS Hospice and Georgie’s Gift.
Loros supports our local community, providing free, high-quality, compassionate care and support to terminally ill adult patients, their families and carers.
Georgie’s Gift is a charity set up in memory of Georgie Hall, who passed away at 23 months having fallen ill and diagnosed with Meningitis and Septicemia. The charity raise's awareness of the signs and symptoms Meningitis, advising families of the correct vaccinations to protect their children, and ultimately helping the local community, families and hospitals who are in need of a little ‘gift’
