Burning Nights CRPS Support is a registered charity (Registration No. 1166522). CRPS has been a recognised condition for more than 150 years, yet its exact cause is unclear. It is often un/misdiagnosed & awareness of the condition is poor. CRPS may develop after injury, surgery, stroke/heart attack and can affect anyone, anytime. It causes persistent, severe & debilitating pain. The pain is usually confined to one limb but can spread to other parts of the body. The McGill Pain Index places the condition as being more painful than amputation of a finger without anaesthetic. CRPS can have devastating life changing effects not only for the sufferer but also families and friends. More and more people are being diagnosed with CRPS and yet there is little support available. Burning Nights CRPS Support aims to change that by providing support to sufferers and carers whilst at the same raising awareness of what is a debilitating condition.

We are a newly formed charity and are raising funds to help us with increasing awareness of Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS), both within the medical profession and amongst the general population; whilst at the same time offering support to sufferers and their carers.
Most cases of CRPS are triggered by an injury or trauma.
A study claimed that up to 1 in 3,800 people in the UK develop CRPS each year.
CRPS can happen to anybody at anytime and begin at any age, including in children, although the average age for symptoms to start is around 50. Women make up around 3 out of 4 cases.
A person with CRPS experiences persistent, severe and debilitating pain. This is the most painful chronic pain condition known and there is no cure.
