About

Hello,
My name is Simon Nicholl and I'm a middle-aged, fair-weather, hill-avoiding, headwind-hating cyclist. Who likes a beer and a pie!
Thank you for visiting this page and especially so if you are able to donate: you'll be helping Bloodwise to help someone who is affected by blood cancer.
I know that we get pestered all the time to give to this-and-that, but this really is a cause worth getting behind and supporting.
All the very best,
Simon.

Event details

Cycling. And then some more cycling.

Starting on Sunday 11th September, I'm cycling from Seattle to Miami solo and unsupported: that's 3500 miles going forward and 120,000 feet going up.
Each day will average 135 miles which is wee bit beyond my two-wheeled comfort zone. Just to add insult, I won't be able to shelter behind anyone in the inevitable headwinds and I'll be carrying about 15kgs of kit. And praying for no mechanicals either, hah-hah!
So not too much to worry about, right? Right!
If you really have got too much free-time/don't know any better, then please have a gander at my blog by clicking the link at the bottom of this page...yep, the one that says 'YouTube'!
