The City Three Peaks is a personal challenge that particularly caught my attention as a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to do something really extraordinary while raising money for inspiring charities.

At the age of 71 I never thought I would be doing anything like this so I am honoured to be part of this record breaking abseil.

I hope that you will join in my enthusiasm and help towards raising my £100,000 target - thank you.

Event details

City Three Peaks

On Monday 7th September 2015, a select, daredevil group will abseil from the top of three of the City’s most iconic buildings

  • The Gherkin,
  • The Cheesegrater
  • The Walkie-Talkie

The total drop will be a massive 1,916ft down to the ground below.

This epic descent is the longest civilian abseil in history and the first time anyone has ever officially abseiled down these buildings before.

The aim is to raise life-changing funds for:
  • The Outward Bound Trust
  • The Royal Navy and Royal Marines Charity

The money will transform the lives of young people as well as serving and former naval personnel and their families in the UK.

Please dig deep and help support this wonderful charity.
