Buddies Clubs & Services
Buddies Clubs and Services was started by a group of parents in Glasgow in October 1994. They started a Sunday afternoon play club for their children affected by disability. Because of their disabilities, the children were and still are denied the freedom of any sort of play or peer interaction.
In the 22 years since they opened, Buddies has grown from that Sunday afternoon group and now offers and provides a much needed service over five days a week as well as play schemes, day trips and holidays.
This includes two teenage groups, two evening groups for young adults and a nursery which caters for 55 children.
In total over 150 families rely on Buddies in one form or another for their children ranging in ages from 0 - 35 years.
Fundraising & Donations
Donations to Buddies will be used to replace their bus, which provides a vital service to it's users in bringing them to the clubs as well as day trips and activities.
Funds raised over and above this will be used for much needed equipment for the centre and also short breaks for the children and young adults.
If you are doing a fun run, cake sale or any other fundraising activity, please use the link below to raise funds on behalf of buddies.
You can also add the link below to your email signature, allowing donations to be made directly to the charity.
