We are raising monies for 3 Gloucestershire based charities who help adults and children with life changing disabilities
Donations accepted until 10-12-2018
My name is Anita Mortimer and I am the mother of 3 children, Laura, Steven & Matthew. For many years I have wanted to do a tandem skydive but never really thought about when I would get round to doing this. On my last birthday I turned 50 and a couple of years before, I had discussed doing a skydive with my eldest son Steven who was turning 21, to raise money for the three charities we have chosen. Steven had a life changing accident when he was 9 years old in Australia which left him with a catastrophic brain injury otherwise known as an ABI Acquired brain injury. Matthew my other son was 16 last year and wanted to join us.
The past 13 years have been very difficult, emotional and heart breaking to say the least and for sometime now I have wanted to give something back to some of the people that have helped us along the way. My children have had experiences in life I wouldn't wish upon anyone but they have also grown up with respect for others around them less fortunate. Please help fund the projects mentioned in Stevens Story in the hope that they will make life a little happier and easier.
10,000ft Tandem Skydive
This Tandem Skydive is being done by myself and my two sons Steven & Matthew. We have undertaken many events to raise funds for Headway Gloucester, The Chamwell Centre and National Star. These charities support a wide range of adults and children with varying disabilities. Each charity needs monies for projects they are undertaking at the moment. Please read Stevens story for more information.
