About
I am a 56 year old father, husband and Grandad and have been running since I was 50 yrs when I started working in a office and being on a farm all my life. I got involved with Nuclear Races around this time and I have been taking part in their Obsticle Course races, these are over 12K across Muddy, wet and sticky conditions doing three each year. The award winning Nuclear Races have challenged me over the years and this year I am doing the 12K Nuclear Fallout Race, not once as usual, but twice on the same day, only with a short break for a cup of tea and a mars bar.
Event details
Nuclear Fallout x 2
24K, over 230 obstacles, very wet and very muddy
Well I did it, started at 8.50 am first 12K in 2Hrs.26 mins, then got back and had about 20 min break for a cuppa and a banana, then started again at 11.50 am for the next 12 K, same course, but a lot muddier and very sticky mud, did this in 2 hr.42 mins.
Odd very slight ache, but all good and would do it again....!!!!!!
