Madman Running The Virgin London Marathon 2019
I'm always up for a challenge, but this is probably the biggest I've attempted! The hard work is already underway with regular training runs, which are getting longer and longer and as this is (probably) a one off, I'm raising funds for two great charities. Last summer my wife was bitten by a tick and as a family, we are now aware of how debilitating Lyme Disease can be. My first charity is Lyme Disease Action, they are a non for profit organisation who support people with Lyme Disease, educate and raise awareness of the symptoms with the general public and work with health care professionals to speed up diagnosis and treatment as the disease is often misdiagnosed. Secondly, The Royal Agricultural Benevolent Institution provide support to farming families across the UK. Agriculture can be a very isolated industry to work in and this charity helps support rural families through bereavement, illness, injury and financial hardship often when they have been let down by others. By raising funds for these charities, I can raise awareness of the work they do and provide funds for the vital work, please dig deep!
