About

Dr John Rae was born in Orkney over two hundred years ago. This amazing man became the greatest of Arctic explorers but never received the recognition he deserved.
It has now been agreed he should be given a plaque inside Westminister Abbey.
The John Rae Society, based in Stromness, Orkney is launching a campaign to fund the plaque and urgently needs your support.
If you know nothing about John Rae, please visit the website www.johnraesociety.com to find out more.
