Lesley and Alan on two wheels (each!)
This year we're heading across to Zeebrugge, having first cycled from York to Hull to catch the ferry. We'll ride for a day and a half in Belgium before crossing into Holland for the next day and a half's riding. Returning via Rotterdam, we'll be taking in a few hills back from Hull to York.
We know we've asked for sponsorship a few times before, but we'd be very grateful if you could help again - we hope you think that cycling nearly 300 miles merits support!
Jessie's Fund does such good work in memory of our daughter, and the need for children with additional needs to find an alternative means of communication to words never diminishes: music can transform their lives.
Jessie's Fund ride: Something old; something new
Why is the 9th Jessie’s Fund bike ride called ‘Something
old, something new‘? On our very first Jessie’s Fund ride we set off from York, cycled to Hull, and caught the ferry. This year we’re doing the same (‘something old’), but this time we’re heading for Zeebrugge and cycling via Bruges to Ghent and then into Holland. After cycling between 250 and 300 miles we'll get back to York, tired but pleased to have completed the challenge and raised much needed money for Jessie's Fund.
