Raising money for
Elsie Ever After
Two years ago I never wanted to see another canal from kayak level however Elsie the Navigation Bear and I are going to give it another try - same paddle - different canal and this time we'll be joined by new team member Chris Collett. Raising money once again for family bereavement counselling & support charity Elsie Ever After www.elsieeverafter.org.uk EEA is newly registered and gift aid is being set up so I'll email out forms thanks.
Team Elsie Bear are kayaking Cwmbran - Brecon
THANKS TO EVERYONE WHO DONATED - delighted to report that we completed the trip of 35.25 miles in 20.5 hours from 1200 noon on Friday to 0830 Saturday. We passed even our adjusted target comfortably and corporate sponsorship from Senalizacion Ltd. has taken us beyond £1000. You can still donate, the page will be active until end of August. Thanks very much Chris, Adam & Elsie.
The plan is to start off in Commercial St. Cwmbran and paddle to Brecon over two days 27th and 28th July 2018. Two kayaks, two paddlers and one bear. Exact bun stops to be determined nearer the event and this time Elsie and I intend that Chris fends off aggressive swans while we bravely paddle on the far side of the canal. We're also looking forward to the longest section of canal with no locks in the UK on this run..... NB all receipts will go to the charity with no deductions as we are on our hols really and all bun stops are self financed as well.
