5000 for Foodbank
It's my aim to inspire 100 people to each raise £50 for the Foodbank, raising a total of £5000 which equates to 5000 meals for our community.

£5000 will enable the Foodbank to provide 5000 meals to people in our community experiencing times of crisis such as - homelessness, low income, benefit delays, excessive debt, unemployment or domestic violence.
The Foodbank doesn't just provide food - it aims to RESTORE DIGNITY, REVIVE HOPE & BUILD COMMUNITY- it does this by offering support in dealing with the underlying causes of a crisis and helping clients with personal self development.
The Foodbank restores dignity, revives hope, and builds community. Wouldn't you like to be a part of something as amazing as that!
5000 for Foodbank
So what is 5000 for Foodbank, & how can you get involved?
I am looking for 100 people to pledge to raise £50 each for the Foodbank in 2017. The unique thing about this fundraising is that YOU have the freedom to raise the money however you like, I don't ask you to cycle to Newcastle, or run a marathon (unless you want to of course!) You can raise the money in one go, or a few pounds a week, it's up to you. How about holding a bake sale at your school, college or office, or selling unwanted items on E-bay? Being more active can be a great motivator, sign up for a 5k run & ask family to sponsor you, or have a sponsored slim-a-thon with friends. Offer to walk your neighbours dog, wash their car, or do their ironing, all in exchange for a donation. Hold a dinner party or coffee/cake morning & ask your friends to make a donation. The ideas are endless!
If £50 seems a lot to raise, how about pledging to commit as a family, pairing up with a friend, or with a few people in your office, class or workplace? The more people involved with 5000 for Foodbank the better - as well as raising £5000 I hope to raise much needed awareness about the valuable service that the Foodbank provides.
