Three Peaks Challenge

10 of our Year 13 students are taking on the Three Peaks Challenge this summer with the aim of climbing the highest mountains in Scotland, England and Wales
within 24 hours. They will be led by NKS teacher and experienced guide and trip leader, Mr S Maytum.
This physically and psychologically demanding challenge will form an exciting part of the school's fundraising in 2018 as we look to fund new recreational spaces for our students. 50% of all the funds raised will go to Clic Sargent, in memory of two special students from NKS who lost their battles with cancer this year - Josh Wilkinson and Sam Fournillier.
Thank you in advance for your support.

A popular misconception is that the three mountains that form the challenge are the three tallest on the British mainland. Rather, they are the tallest mountains within each representative country: Scafell Pike is the tallest in England; Snowdon, the tallest in Wales and Ben Nevis the tallest in Scotland — over one hundred peaks in Scotland are higher than Scafell Pike, and 56 higher than Snowdon.
