The Rainbow Quest
A group of really lovely supporters are cycling the length of the country for Rainbow Living!
On the 20th September, these keen(!) cyclists began the RAINBOW QUEST, cycling 930 miles from John O'Groats to Land's End; they are aiming to raise £5,000 for Rainbow Living's Fourth Rainbow House.
This event was inspired by Curly Wright, who himself did this journey some years ago in support of another charity. It’s an eclectic group, ranging from experienced cyclists to complete novices, and including a few of pensionable age! The team includes Shirley French, 70, a retired senior nurse who is in remission from cancer, former Devon & Cornwall Police Officer Terry Windeatt, 70, Dr James Haytor, who works at the Cheriton Bishop and Christow surgeries, Dick Scagell, 63, chairman of Brixham Town FC, Tony Pinniger, a Rainbow Living Board member, businesswoman Trudy Loveday, Ieuan Lovett, a website builder, and Christine Browse, a former care worker who has seen firsthand how much independent supported living can change lives.
Rainbow Living is very grateful to each of the individuals who have given their time and energy in undertaking this epic challenge and would like to say THANK YOU to each and every amazing cyclist!
Thanks also to Curly for inspiring the Rainbow Quest!
