Great Northern Run - Andy Gill

On Tuesday 20 January I was driving to Swindon from Alnwick, Northumberland listening to Radio 4, it's not that I'm old or boring but that they have some good listening which can make driving 200 miles seem quick. On this particular evening there was a piece about "Usher Syndrome"... I assumed it was perhaps about people not liking Usher's music, of course it...

I assumed it was perhaps about people not liking Usher's music, of course it wasn't!
I was completely touched by the content, the delivery, the honesty and openness and felt educated on the daily challenges faced by those with Usher Syndrome.
Bullying, coping with the naivety of others, lack of support throughout society.
Molly Watt took me on a journey that evening, truly pulled at my heart strings.
I have never met Molly but I knew right away I wanted to help, to raise funds and awareness, make a difference to this misunderstood community and I wish to continue doing so going forward.

It will be my 3rd GNR on 13 September.
Having a ballot place I asked Molly if I could run for Molly Watt Trust and she was delighted and had new tops made up special.
I probably won't break the 2 hours but will enjoy the day knowing this little run, 13 miles, will raise funds for MWT.
All support appreciated but if you'd like to set me another challenge say if I achieve 13 miles in a certain time you'd donate more that would be great.
Please give generously, thank you Andy
