Kensal Rise Library Fundraising Appeal: Fit Out

After five years of campaigning we have secured two thirds of the ground floor to operate a community library and public space. We need your support to transform this empty shell into a library that the community can be proud of and which they deserve after fighting for so long. We need to raise £80,000 to cover the basic fit out, including flooring, plumbing and heating, electrics, plastering, decorating, and creation of back office and kitchen space. This is the first phase of our appeal. We have already raised £28,000 towards the total, a £10,000 anonymous donation, £10,000 from our events, and £8,000 from Brent Council Ward Working. Help us to achieve our goal - a library at the heart of our community.

Follow the progress of the appeal on the Shelf-O-Meter outside the library. This will be unveiled at 3pm on Saturday 23rd April 2016, Shakespeare’s 400th anniversary and World Book Day. If you want to nominate an author for a book on the Shelf-O-Meter when you donate, please say so in your message.
